Well, your daddy caved.
Your mom and I had the big ultrasound last week and while your mom was fine either way about finding out if you were a boy or a girl, I had been leaning towards being surprised.
However, when the Tech who did the ultrasound said that if we weren’t going to find out what your sex was, then we would have to turn away from some of the images the ultrasound was going to show. At that moment I went with my gut and proclaimed proudly, “I want to know!” Your mom smiled and said “OK” and we found out, to both our delight, that you are a boy!
It looks like you’re already sucking your thumb!
With that great news, rest assured that we both would have been just as happy had you been a girl. Your mom and I are just grateful to have you! And at this stage, you are perfectly healthy, which was even more good news. Everything looked good, normal, no problems, etc etc.
It won’t be long now, but it’s going to feel like an eternity!
