Aidan was born with a condition known as VACTERL/VATER Association.
The acronyms stand for:

• V – Vetebral anomalies
• A – Anorectal malformations
• C – Cardiovascular anomalies
• T – Tracheoesophageal fistula
• E – Esophageal atresia
• R – Renal (Kidney) anomalies
• L – Limb deftects

Aidan went straight from our arms and into the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). He is incredibly fortunate as he only possesses a few of the letters from the VACTERL/VATER acronym.

Basically, Aidan is dealing with the esophageal, tracheal and vertebral issues – and he’s dealing with these very well.
